Collaborating with lindungihutan.com, Lee Do Hyun’s Fans are planning to join a campaign to plant mangroves in Bedono Village, Demak, Central Java Indonesia. Due to the constant rise in sea level, abrasion and the amount of trashes pilling up in the sea, the condition of the village is now worrying because the coastline in Demak continues to retreat due to abrasion. In addition to abrasion, Bedono Village in Demak is in danger of sinking in 10 to 20 years from now due to land subsidence of about 10 cm per year. It has drowned approximately 200 people's houses as of now. As a result, the locals are not only losing their homes due to abrasion but also their livelihoods. Mangroves are chosen because not only it can deposit mud on the roots of mangrove trees so as to prevent seawater intrusion into the mainland, they also has roots that can accelerate the decomposition of organic waste and chemical waste that can pollute the sea. In addition, Mangrove forests are often said to be land-forming. This is because the sediments and soil they hold allow for the development of coastlines over time and are also said to be the lungs of the world. Seeing how much the advantages of mangrove is, and how in line it is with Lee Do Hyun’s wish to become an actor that saves people, we hope that by contributing to save the nature it’s not only we can save people but a lot of living things and future generations. Untuk merayakan Debut Anniversary Lee Dohyun yang ke-4, mari lakukan sesuatu untuk lingkungan! Berkolaborasi dengan lindungihutan.com, Lee Do Hyun Fans berencana untuk bergabung dalam kampanye penanaman mangrove di Desa Bedono, Demak, Jawa Tengah Indonesia.

Akibat kenaikan muka air laut secara terus menerus, abrasi dan banyaknya sampah yang menumpuk di laut, kondisi desa Bedono kini mengkhawatirkan karena garis pantai di Demak terus surut akibat abrasi. Selain abrasi, Desa Bedono di Demak terancam tenggelam dalam 10 hingga 20 tahun ke depan akibat penurunan tanah sekitar 10 cm per tahun. Hal tersebut telah menenggelamkan sekitar 200 rumah penduduk. Akibatnya, warga tidak hanya kehilangan tempat tinggal karena abrasi tetapi juga mata pencaharian mereka.

Mangrove dipilih karena selain dapat mengendapkan lumpur pada akar pohon mangrove sehingga dapat mencegah intrusi air laut ke daratan, juga memiliki akar yang dapat mempercepat penguraian sampah organik dan limbah kimia yang dapat mencemari laut. Selain itu, hutan Mangrove sering dikatakan sebagai pembentuk lahan. Ini karena sedimen dan tanah yang mereka miliki memungkinkan pengembangan garis pantai dari waktu ke waktu dan juga sebagai paru-paru dunia. Melihat betapa besar manfaat tanaman mangrove, dan sejalan dengan keinginan Lee Do Hyun untuk menjadi aktor yang bisa menyelamatkan manusia, kami berharap dengan berkontribusi menyelamatkan alam kita bisa menyelamatkan tidak hanya manusia tapi juga banyak makhluk hidup dan generasi mendatang. Kami juga berharap Lee Do Hyun mampu menghadapi tantangan apapun dalam karirnya yang sedang berkembang; untuk tumbuh lebih kuat dan lebih baik sebagai aktor yang bisa kita percaya seperti akar bakau.
